It is either a girl gyrating or twerking on a raunchy item number with hardly any emphasis on choreography or dance per say. While I felt that folk dance was becoming extinct in the Bollywood industry I saw the song Nagada Sang Dhol from the upcoming movie Ram Leela that completely enthralled me. I could expect nothing less from Sanjay Leela Bhansali after the kind of dances he gave in movies like Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I went on to watch the next song Lahu Munh Lag Gaya which was too hot to handle with Deepika Padukone being a complete tease.
The beats of the song are pretty catchy and the
choreography beautiful. For those of you who think that the Ram Leela songs are similar
to Dholi Taro in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, it is probably because the choreographers
are the same which I found out after some investigation. Arsh & Samir Tanna, the choreographers in question, have choreographed the two songs in Ram Leela and they sure have a certain approach
that defines their style of dance choreography.
